Hotel Casa de Huespedes Ejutla de Crespo stands out as a charming, rustic retreat nestled in the heart of Oaxaca’s vibrant town of Ejutla de Crespo. With a solid rating of 4.4, this hotel blends simplicity with warmth, offering guests a genuine taste of Mexican hospitality. Located on Priv Jose Maria Morales sin número, it sits slightly removed from the bustling center, providing a peaceful atmosphere while still being accessible to local markets and cultural sights.
The hotel embraces an unpolished, authentic aesthetic that enchants travelers looking to experience the local spirit. Guests repeatedly praise the friendliness of the owner, Juan Manuel, who enhances the stay with his welcoming nature and insightful guidance on local attractions, including mezcal tours and the lively Thursday markets. This personal touch transforms a mere stay into a memorable cultural exchange.
Rooms are spacious and clean, furnished with comfortable beds that promise restful nights after days of exploration. The inviting patio offers a quiet spot to unwind and immerse in the tranquil surroundings. While the hotel’s rustic charm includes minor quirks—such as the absence of bathroom doors or lukewarm showers—these do little to diminish the overall experience and, in many ways, add to the character of the place.
The hotel caters especially well to those on adventure routes like bikepackers, offering secure parking and a safe environment. Though amenities like fast internet and drinking water are limited, these are easily managed locally, allowing guests to focus on the authentic journey rather than modern conveniences. Complementary touches—such as a small bottle of mezcal—underscore the host’s generosity and the local cultural ties.

It invites visitors to slow down, savor the simple pleasures, and connect deeply with the vibrant locale and its people. Muy bien hotel, algo rustico, le faltan puertas al baño jaja pero todo bien. Un poco alejado del centro pero muy buen lugar.
Beautiful and clean place, explore the market specially on Thursdays, the owner is super friendly ask him about local and mezcal tours.
Safe and comfortable, nice patio. Comfy beds and large rooms. Great for bikepackers on the various routes passing by. No drinking water provided but easy to buy in town, received a complimentary small bottle of mezcal! Shower not very hot, internet very slow.
Juan Manuel is a fantastic host! He has added new rooms and the beds were the most comfortable! This town is delightful and the people are friendly! Safe parking on a quiet street. Highly recommend this sweet place!
